RIFOL's new website

Postby newportri » Sat Feb 13, 2016 4:03 am

OK, there is a new website. It's nothing fancy with bells and whistles, but it it clean and functional and gives us full control over the content without using third party software.
We will be tracking bills there and we will hopefully soon have a form letter available that people can send out to their legislators.

Looks great. My 2cents, it would be great if that town map was clickable. I can help you with that if you like

What do you mean by clickable, that it takes you to another link? If so, what link should it go to? Or do you mean that it opens in a new window? If someone wants save it, I think it is just as easy to right click on the image.

Yes, maybe you could click on the town, amd.it'd send you to a page or even the forum section about said town.
Just a thought, site looks great

OK, I see what you mean. However, it would be quite a bit of work to define the mapping of each town's border to make it clickable and at this point I have some other things that are more pressing. I think it is easy enough to search on the page to find the town. I initially wanted people to use the "town/city" forum that was created under that section of the forum. However, people started adding their own threads for a given town so there are now multiple.

Strong work! I'd be happy to proofread if you needed it - I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi, and I know that when I write a long treatise like that, I always discover little places that I should've punctuated better...

Yeah, feel free to proof read it since most of the articles were written on the fly without too much effort put into it since I wanted to get it up and running quickly with the new bills etc. since I didn't want to update it on the old page. Especially the "litigation" page since I wrote that pretty late one evening and it is pretty long.. Send me a PM with your suggestions.

If we merged the threads for like towns, would it merge the posts by oldest to newest?
