Postby newportri » Fri Oct 09, 2015 4:10 pm

Are anyone watching this?
Reed and Raimondo are holding a news conference at noon Friday with representatives from the Rhode Island State Police and the office of Attorney General Peter Kilmartin, as well as advocates from the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence and the Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence.

"The states where school shootings have not occurred since Newtown, in alphabetical order:
Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming"

I'd say that this pretty well says that gun control has little, or nothing, to do with school shootings, in that six of these eleven states have somewhat reasonable laws, and the other five would be considered very restrictive.

It's hilarious how generous their definition of school shooting is. A high school student shot on a Sunday is included, and other similarly laughable entires.

And "Mass Shootings" are generally defined as four or more people. Including domestics and gang-related incidents.
You have to love statistics manipulation.

Will removing firearms from law-abiding owners have a substantial effect on "Mass Shootings"?
You bet you little liberal ass it will! In a remarkably negative way.
