Both chambers are also scheduled to return to the State House on Sept. 19 to take up other bills that were left in limbo because of the June 30 meltdown over the budget.

So there you go, we get hosed on Sept 19.

Don't know yet which bills will be considered, but let's hope it's not the DV bill.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it's at the top of the list for pasage. Bloomberg didn't drop all that dough for nothing.

So Mario Hilario called this bill out by name as one of the bills that is to be voted on today. Of course, because the pro 2A bill last year passed the house w/ flying colors but they "ran outta time" in the senate but this time around they'll make sure that they don't run outta time for this steaming pile!! Unbelievable!! Bloomturd must be so proud

It's very disappointing this bill is going to pass, but it is a reminder that we need to work harder and to get more people involved. The antis will come back harder next year and try to make our lives miserable again..

The RICAGV is celebrating now that this bill passed and here is what we can look forward to next session in their own words:
The House and Senate Judiciary committees again failed to pass the No Guns in Schools bills (H5345/Kazarian, S0187/Metts) and High Capacity Magazine Ban bills (H5155/Regunberg, S0223/Goldin) out of committee, holding them for further study for the third straight year. Both these measures are supported by the overwhelming majority of Rhode Islanders, and the Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence will continue to fight for their passage in 2018. Please consider making a donation to the RICAGV so we can continue the fight for sensible gun safety laws in 2018.

They're coming for our guns one bill at a time. If they ever get their way in the house and senate we'll be in worse shape than MA & CT.

For those following the Middletown PD recent news, It appears simple assault does fall under this now. What charge could this be plead down to? Either way I don't see this ending well for him.
