Another pro-gun decision by the RI Supreme Court

Postby newportri » Fri Jan 19, 2018 12:14 am

The RI Supreme Court has again ruled in favor of an applicant who was denied a permit due to using the wrong standard. The law and the court is clearly on our side and I think it is also proof that we need CCW reform so citizens don't need to spend thousands of dollars to get due process.

Interesting:
Paiva’s less-than-candid answers on his application, coupled with his past behavior, certainly raise doubt as to his suitability to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon in this state.

I'm sure this wording will be manipulated to deny people under "suitability" when applying in accordance with state law, regarding all the bs red tape. Also it makes reference to the "need" aspect.

One reason it is important to choose which cases to invest in as to bringing before the courts.
This Pavia person does not seem to be the type of person to be pushing for a permit due to false information on his application.
His AG permit was revoked, he'd been arrested in Lincoln and been reported by a "mental health" official to have issues.

I do see where the E.Prov chief was not following the mandates issued by the courts with Gadomski.
