The last time I checked a lot of manufacturers had dropped off the instructor discount list, but I don't remember if Ruger was still on it. I think only the take-down version was on their list though.

It's quite accurate at 25 yards and the only issue's I have are that they a few duds, but the primer has been punched properly and it's the ammo (some of it might be older than I am). It's all lead ammo, and fouling isn't as bad as expected. I ran about 200 rounds through it a few weekends ago, then followed up by (10) 5.56 rounds and the only real carbon build up was on the charging handle. I have even shot sub sonic through it and I can't believe it cycled

That sounds like quite the awesome .22lr conversion you have. :D :D

You made me look! :D I'll PM the latest list. The takedown's on it, but model 1151 (http://www.ruger.com/products/1022Carbine/models.html) is on it, too.

CDNN is having a sale that lasts until Noon Monday, May 4th:

I have no idea what shipping would cost.

Tempting, but by the time you add in shipping, and the $25 - $50 FFL transfer fee, it's not as attractive.
