Most plates/poppers are calibrated for low to mid-weight 9mm ball.

Midway has these on sale for $24.99. I was ordering some other stuff and I couldn't resist that price, so it's on it's way.

I haven't been too impressed with mine. Some times it works pretty good although it is still a little tricky. However, I was trying last weekend, and I couldn't get it to work...Maybe I had different primers, since it worked much better before (although not as well as I would have liked to).
Let me know how it works out for you.

Worked awesome with large pistol primers for my 45 loads, not so good with small for my 9. I did knock off a bunch of machining marks with a razor and 600 grit sandpaper just to clean things up. I will check out the small side and see if something is binding in the hole when I have a chance.

I ran 400 large primers through it @ about 15 seconds per 100

LOVE the fact that it's shaped like a 1911! Price is a bit steep... But if it works, I'm in.

Buy it before the gun grabbers in RI ban it for being a large capacity feeding device..

Let us know how it works. I didn't think you were a 1911 guy, so you might have a problem with the grip angle on the Hornady :-)

Love my Ruger SR1911! I'm just faster with my M&P's... I think there may be a Kimber in my future as well. (Only because I can't afford a Wilson Combat)

I will let you know how it works vs the Frankford as I will have both.
